In this post I am sharing one of my all time favorite fall drink recipes – the Orange Spice tea Latte! If you like orange, cinnamon and other spices then keep reading to learn exactly how to make it.
As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, there’s something inherently comforting about a steaming cup of tea. But not just any tea – an Orange Spice Tea Latte. The heavenly fusion of citrusy brightness and warm, aromatic spices, makes it the perfect companion for cozy fall afternoons.
The first time I tried Orange Spice tea was a few years ago on a trip to Cambria, California with some friends. As we explored the downtown area of this small but quaint city, I stumbled upon the cutest luxury herbal tea store. They were sampling their orange spice tea sweetened with a bit of rock candy and I instantly fell in love with the flavor! I couldn’t believe this was my first time even knowing about this tea!
I ended up taking some home with me and since then I have tried it a few different ways, but this recipe takes the cake for me and I just know you will love it as well!
So snuggle up with a mug of this delicious and warm recipe and let it transport you to a place of relaxation and coziness.
Orange Spice Tea Latte Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
1 tablespoon of loose orange spice tea leaves
½ cup of hot water
¾ cup of milk (your choice, I like whole milk or oat milk for this recipe!)
1 ½ tablespoons of brown sugar or sweetener of choice (adjust to taste)
Dash of Cinnamon powder for garnish
HOW TO MAKE IT:
Brew the Tea: Begin by steeping your tea leaves in hot water. Let it steep for 5-7 minutes, or according to your specific tea’s instructions, to achieve a robust and flavorful brew. Strain the tea leaves, preserving the infused liquid.
2. Sweeten the Tea: Add the brown sugar to the tea and stir well. Adjust the sweetness according to your preference.
3. Steam the Milk: Using an electric milk frother on the hot setting, steam and froth your milk according to your specific frother’s manual. Then, slowly pour the steamed milk into your tea making sure to get all of that frothy goodness in there. Stir gently to blend the tea and milk seamlessly.
4. Garnish and Enjoy: Take your cinnamon powder and sprinkle some on top. Now you are ready to enjoy your Orange Spice Tea Latte!
